What’s New On The Oasis: Craig Sharmat

craig sharmat2 Whats New On The Oasis: Craig Sharmat

There’s a new sound on The Oasis this week from a guitarist named Craig Sharmat.

Craig may be a relative newcomer to Smooth Jazz as a solo artist, but he’s definitely paid his dues.  He got his big break as a guitarist for [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Randy Crawford[/lastfm] and then went on record with [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Pointer Sisters[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Rick Braun[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Mindi Abair[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Gregg Karukas[/lastfm] among others.

Craig is not just a solo artist though.  He’s also a composer for all sorts of media including films, movie trailers, TV shows, sports programs, video games, TV commercials and loads of other projects.  Get the full skinny on that at Craig’s website here.

Craig Sharmat has just released his second solo album “Outside In” which contains the single “Ease Up”, which can now be heard on The Oasis.  If you are into [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Acoustic Alchemy[/lastfm], this new song will be right up your alley.  You can get a copy of Craig’s new CD right here.

As a little preview of Craig’s talents, here’s the title track from his first solo album “So Cal Drivin”.
