I never thought I’d say this, but it looks like [lastfm]Gwyneth Paltrow[/lastfm] is following in Paris Hilton‘s footsteps.

Paltrow had a great dress, but a pretty underwhelming performance at last Sunday’s Acadamy Awards, where she sang the title song from her film Country Strong.

This isn’t the first time Gwyneth has tried to charm record producers, she also started in Duets, a movie about karaoke in 2000. No one wanted to give her a record deal then either.

But she keeps trying and told Access Hollywood on Sunday that she’s currently in talks to work on her very own album.

The seasoned Paltrow even admitted that she was nervous about her impending Oscar performance,  “This [performance] feels hard because the Grammys [were] so much fun and it was silly,” Gwyneth told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush. “This is like, very serious. I’m like, ‘Geez, it’s a serious song and I’m by myself up there.’ I hope it’s alright!”

Yeah Gweneth, it was alright, but you were totally squashed by those quirky cartoons from Toy Story 3.

What do YOU think of Gwyneth’s singing voice? Should she stick to acting or would you like to hear an album of her own? Holla back at us in the comments section below!
