Texas Rangers Drop Game 1 Of World Series

The aces of both staffs came out and did what they were supposed to do.  CJ Wilson and Chris Carpenter each gave their team a chance to win.  CJ Wilson’s effort wasn’t enough for the Texas Rangers as they lost game 1 of the World Series 3-2 to the St. Louis Cardinals.

Mike Naipoli hit a home run for the Rangers but an Allen Craig pinch hit single just out of the reach of Nelson Cruz in right field proved to be the difference.

Game 2 is Thursday night at 7:05 Central time.  Colby Lewis will face off against Jaime Garcia.
