Faith Hill’s Extreme Beauty Tip

[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Faith Hill[/lastfm] graces the cover of February’s InStyle magazine and shares some of her beauty tips. Among those tips, she shares that she drinks 90 ounces of water a day. It sparks some debate as to how much water is too much.

If you are exercising regularly, says that on the low end, the number of ounces you should drink should be half your weight. On the high end, you should drink equal ounces to your weight.

Yahoo’s Shine suggests an average of 9 cups per day for the average adult female. That’s 2.2 liters, or 72 ounces of water.

It is possible to drink too much water. Hyponatremia, or water intoxication, is where the blood-sodium drop to dangerous levels. It usually happens after you’ve been sweating excessively for several hours and are only replenishing with excessive amounts of water rather than a sports drink.
