It has been confirmed that the Queen of Disco, Donna Summer lost her battle with cancer this morning and passed away at the age of 63 in Florida.
The five time Grammy winner was trying to keep most of the details of her illness under wraps while trying to finish up an album she had been working on.
With hits like “Last Dance”, “Hot Stuff,” and “Bad Girls” the big voiced diva was one of the most succesful artist of the 70’s. The end of the Disco era didn’t hurt Summer’s career as she had hits in the 80’s as well with “She Works Hard for the Money” and “This Time I Know It’s for Real.”
Summer married Brooklyn Dreams singer Bruce Sudano back in 1980. They had two daughters together.
