A French judge has sided with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in an injunction against French magazine Closer over the topless photos a paparazzi took of the future Queen of England. The judge has ruled that the magazine can no longer publish or distribute the photos to anyone else. If they do, they will be fined over $13,000 a day if the photos see light.

Tuesday a four-page document describing the injunction was released that required the publication to hand over the photos withing the next 24 hours.

“These snapshots which showed the intimacy of a couple, partially naked on the terrace of a private home, surrounded by a park several hundred metres from a public road, and being able to legitimately assume that they are protected from passersby, are by nature particularly intrusive,” the Guardian is reporting.

The pictures were taken while the Duke and Duchess were vacationing in Provence at a chateau owned by the Queen’s nephew, Lord Linley.

Now word yet on what will happen to the other publications who have published the photos.
