Jewel’s music has long been a gem in our playlists since she burst on the scene in the 1990s. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter has since married, moved to Texas, and become a mother.
Always with a song in her head, she wanted to write a sort of love letter to her 14-month old son to show him how much she loves him. However, the idea became bigger than just a sweet song to sing, and the lyrics soon became text for a wonderful new children’s book called That’s What I’d Do. Jewel’s first book as a children’s author is a metaphorical poem about a mother’s love for her son and what she would do to show her love.
Jewel will be in Southlake tonight at the Barnes & Noble located at 1430 Plaza Place starting at 6PM. She will be reading her book, answering a few questions, and signing copies of That’s What I’d Do.
