This weekend, geeks across North Texas will united and descend upon Irving for Dallas Comic Con’s Fan Days. It’s three days full of sci-fi, costumes, panels, celebrity guests, and all sorts of geekery.
Starting today, Friday, and running through Sunday, Fan Days promises to be bigger and better each year. This weekend boasts celebrities like Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead 1 & 2 and Army of Darkness), Sean Astin (Goonies, Lord of the Rings, Rudy), Stan Lee, and Robert Englund (Nightmare on Elm Street) as well as a rare con appearance by Ian McDiarmid (Emperor/Chancellor Palpatine from the Star Wars Saga). In addition to a plethora of celebrity guests and comic book legends, there will be a schedule full of panels, autograph & photo opportunities with guests, a costume contest, and tons of vendors selling collectibles & geek goodies.
Dallas Comic Con’s Fan Days starts today and runs through Sunday, October 21st at the Irving Convention Center in Las Colinas. You can get there by driving down 114 or by taking the brand new DART Orange Line. Three-day tickets are $60, single-day tickets for Friday & Sunday are $20, single-day Saturday tickets are $30, and kid tickets are $5; you’ll be able to get your tickets at the box office at the Irving Convention Center.
