Somebody was planning an epic Super Bowl¬†party for this weekend. A couple of storage facility workers in Georgia have been accused of stealing $65,000 in frozen Tyson chicken wings. That’s a lot of chicken!

The police in Gwinnett County arrested Renaldo Jackson and Dewayne Patterson in connection with the chicken heist. It’s believed that the two Nordic Cold Storage employees stole the chicken from the storage facility that Tyson uses to hold it’s frozen chicken products.

$65,000 is a lot of chicken if you think about it. Tyson’s chicken wings generally cost about $12.50 at the grocery store; which adds up to 26,000 pounds on heisted chicken!

It’s a well-timed heist as a chicken shortage and high-demand ahead of the Super Bowl is driving up the price of chicken nationwide.
