Irving’s historic Heritage District is just off the Downtown Irving/Heritage Crossing stop on the TRE and has some great places to grab a bite. Big State Drug Store still serves up burgers and shakes like drug stores of old, and Villas Grill is Irving’s biggest secret for great Brazillian-style meat. Irving’s downtown also boasts the beautiful Millennium Fountain and the scenic Centennial Park with a gorgeous lake and a 2/3 mile jogging trail.
Irving’s Las Colinas area host to the annual Byron Nelson Pro Golf tournament every year. You can get in your 18 holes or spend the day relaxing in the spa at the Four Seasons Resort & Club. Take the new DART Orange Line to the Las Colinas Urban Center you’ll find the Williams Square Mustangs and the Mandalay Canal, which is Irving’s answer to San Antonio’s Riverwalk. The Irving Convention Center also plays host to some great conventions and festivals. There are also great places to eat and drink around Las Colinas like Cool River, Sfuzzi, Via Real, and i Fratelli’s Ristorante & Wine Bar.
