Legendary talkshow host Larry King is a big fan of February’s Heart Health month, and with good reason. He wants to get the word out to look after your own heart health before it’s too late.

In 1987, King survived a major heart attack and underwent a quintuple-bypass surgery. With a new lease on life, he realized how lucky he had been to have insurance and the means to cover the cost of the treatments that saved his life, but he also realized that there are many who can not afford medical insurance or the cost of treatments and screenings. With that in mind, he started the Larry King Cardiac Foundation to help those who lack the finances to pay for insurance coverage or cover out-of-pocket the cost of cardiac care and screenings. They have even partnered up with LifeLine to help provide screenings.
