Former American Idol Season 10 contestant Tim Halperin hails from Ft Worth, and while he may have gotten his shot at winning Idol, he’s doing just fine on his own. Tim is opening for Kelly Clarkson tomorrow night at Verizon Theater in Grand Prairie. Before his big gig, he dropped by the Lite FM studios to chat with Tony Zazza and give a few lucky listeners an private performance.
Tim is really excited to be opening for Kelly Clarkson in what will be a hometown show for both. He only found out two weeks ago, and so great was his excitement that he posted a YouTube clip of him running around the Metroplex exclaiming his joy.
Tim shared with Tony Zazza and David Rancken about his experience on American Idol and what he’s been up to since. Listen to the interview!
Tim then sat down with his keyboard and played some music for us, starting with the Super Mario Brothers:
After everyone got settles, Tim played a song he wrote in College about called “Pretty Girls,” which was featured on the show “Revenge” this past season.
Thanks To Central Market for catering Lite @ Lite with Tim Halperin. Nothing like some great food to pair with some good music!
