Michael Urie Chats About His Directorial Debut And His Films At DIFF 2013

Dallas-born and Plano-raised Michael Urie has come back to North Texas this week in support of two films he was involved in that are currently screening at the Dallas International Film Festival. He stars in Petunia, co-written and directed by another North Texas native Ash Christian, and his own directorial debut in He’s Way More Famous Than You.

This isn’t his first year being involved with DIFF. Last year, Urie co-directed the documentary Thank You For Judging which following high students involved in the same speech and drama competitions that he was involved in as a student at Plano Senior High. Unfortunately, his busy schedule kept him away, but this year he was able to make it out in support of both films he’s involved with at this year’s DIFF.

The Ugly Betty & Partners star is also good friends with Tony Zazza. Tony shared a funny story this morning about Michael Urie and his car. Listen to the full interview!
