Drunk Radio DJ Taken Off The Air

It’s a golden rule that all who work in radio know well: alcohol and microphones do not mix. It’s something that British radio DJ Paula White should have been aware of when she took the air for her shift on Friday afternoon.

According to the Daily Mail, the BBC Radio Stoke DJ was celebrating, or commiserating, her last Friday lunchtime shift with a couple, or many, drinks. Her time slot was being moved to Saturdays.

The 30 minutes she was on the air was a shamble. White read out messages from listeners, asking them to start with “Stoke.” She also decided pass on the station playlist and opened the lines to listeners to make requests.

Another DJ came in to relieve the inebriated White, claiming that she had gone home not feeling well.

After listening to poor Paula, we had to confess about when we came to work drunk.
