A man recently called the police in Paint Township in Pennsylvania to report that he had evidence proving the existence of Bigfoot. John Winesickle told 911 to send an officer to examine a footprint on his property.
Huffington Post shared a transcript of the exchange between the 911 dispatcher and the responding officer:
DISPATCHER: “He wants a police officer to come to his residence. He apparently has proof there of Bigfoot.”
OFFICER: “Bigfoot, right?”
DISPATCHER: “That’s affirmative. He has evidence proving Bigfoot.”
After Winesickle showed the officer the footprints, it was concluded that they belonged to a bear. Winesickle still adamantly believes the tracks belong to the mythical man-ape.
“No, no, no. A bear can’t go down a steep bank on all twos. That’s proven this is a Bigfoot,” said Winesickle.
Online rumors blew the story way out of proportion after the 911 call was released. Stories spread claiming the man had shot and killed Bigfoot, and conspiracy theorists insisted the police were hiding the body in a massive cover-up. which isn’t the case.
