A man in Bellingham, Wash. was arrested after it was discovered he had wrapped a baggie of marijuana around an arrow and fired it through the second-floor window of the Whatcom County Jail recreation area.

According to theĀ Bellingham Herald, 36-year-old David Wayne Jordan claims he was hunting squirrels.

Whatcom County Sheriff Bill Elfo says, “He had no explanation as to why squirrel hunting requires attaching marijuana to an arrow.”

Jordan’s squirrel hunting story might be a bust as a civilian employee witnessed the wanna-be Robin Hood get out of his truck, string the arrow, and take aim at a mesh screen near the top of the second-floor, fresh-air exercise area for inmates.

Elfo says that at the perfect angle, the arrow might have made through. However, Jordan is no marksman, and the arrow and the attached baggie of weed landed on the roof.

Jordan was arrested at his home and booked on suspicion of introducing contraband to a corrections facility in the third degree, resisting arrest, and obstructing law enforcement.
