A beer truck was robbed while making morning deliveries at a convenience store across from Samuel Grand Park in East Dallas yesterday morning. Andrews Distribution, the dominant beer distributor in Dallas, has reported an increase in beer thefts, but it was yesterday morning’s incident that caught our attention.

It was business as usual when the driver pulled up and began to load cases of beer on to a handcart to wheel inside the store. That was when the driver watched a man approach the truck, snag a case of Corona, and hot foot it down Dolphin Road.

The driver could have given chase or confronted the thief, but what stopped him was the fact that the thief was wearing an orange pumpkin mask. According to theĀ Dallas Observer, that’s not the kind of person you want to “tangle with” at 6AM.
