What did the chicken wear when it crossed the road? A British company worried about the safety of urban free-range chickens is making high-visibility vests for the pedestrian poultry.

UPI.com reports that the company, aptly named Omlet, is creating a line of high-visibility vests designed for chickens to wear at night in order to keep motorists from running over the free-range pets when they cross the roads at night.

The vests will be made of reflective material in bright pink and yellow. They are also designed to keep the hens warms after molting and “protect their modesty.”
