A Maryland high school is making students sign a “dance contract” banning twerking and other provocative dance moves.
Huff Post reports that the contract put forth by Annapolis High School specifically says “no grinding, intimate touching or dancing with your buttocks touching or in the air.” The purpose is to keep sexually provocative behavior at a minimum at school dances as officials feel that it alienates some students.
“This, unfortunately, has become the norm. Some of this crazy dancing that makes others feel uncomfortable,” Annapolis Principal Susan Chittim says. “Some kids feel left out because of the dancing that occurs.”
No word on whether the contract requires dancers to “leave room for Jesus.”
