The Jonas Brothers appeared together on ABC’s Good Morning America earlier today, to discuss why they will no longer make music together.

Nick Jonas was very vague about why, saying, “In a nutshell, I feel like we’ve had some complications within the group for a long time. Without addressing them I think this train will fall off the tracks.”

The brothers have had so much success as a group for the past 6 years. They recently canceled their tour amid a potential fall out.

People Magazine reported yesterday that the Jonas Brothers are breaking up as a band for the time being, almost three weeks after cancelling their 19-date tour.

The eldest brother, Kevin says, “It’s over for now.”

“It’s really hard to say ‘forever,’ ” says Nick. “We’re closing a chapter, for sure.”

“It was a unanimous decision,” says Joe.

Trouble started earlier this month when they cancelled their tour a couple of days before it was set to begin. At the time, they told People there was a “deep rift within the band” and a “disagreement over their music direction.”

Looking back at the history of boy bands, there is always one member that goes on to be successful. Michael Jackson’s career are the Jackson 5 is one of the best examples. Could this be a move for Nick to boost his solo efforts with The Administration? Kevin is definitely busy with his reality tv show, Married To Jonas. It seems as if Joe may have some personal issues to work through. It seems as if it would be a good time for Nick to develop that solo project a little further.

Now that the breakup is official, we’ll see what happens from here. But for now, the Jonas Brothers are focused on, as Nick later said on GMA, “being brothers first.”
