Over the weekend, Tony checked out the brand new Eatzi’s in Plano. When he walked in, the whole place smelled like his Grandma Annabel’s kitchen at Thanksgiving. They were handing out full plate samples of their Thanksgiving offerings. This made us all think about our favorite dishes that we are looking forward to the most on Thanksgiving.
Julie loves stuffing, especially her husband’s stuffing. He just throws it together with no real recipe, but whatever secret ingredients he throws in makes it awesome. Even when they go to dinner at Dixie House, Julie orders the turkey and dressing for love of the stuffing.
John can’t wait for dessert. His family doesn’t mess around with desserts. His dad makes awesome pies; chocolate, pumpkin, and pecan pies.
Tony looks forward to the cajun deep-fried turkey that he does every year. He also can’t wait for the desserts. One thing he’d love to figure out how to make is his Grandma Annabel’s eggnog pie.
As we look forward to Thanksgiving, we’re also looking forward to serving alongside LT this weekend at his Giving Thanks. We’ve partnered with LT to help feed 5,000 local families here in North Texas. You can help us reach that 5,000 family goal by donating. A $20 donation could get you the chance to meet LT and volunteer with his at Giving Thanks this Saturday! Go to ltgivingthanks.com to donate and find out how you can help feed hungry families locally.
