Netflix To Drop Some Movies From Streaming Catalog Jan 1st

If you’re a Netflix streaming customer, you’ve got less than 48 hours to catch some great movies on Netflix before they are purged from the streaming catalog.

Buzzfeed reports that streaming licenses for 89 movies expire January 1st. That means while we’re ringing in the New Year, we’ll miss our chance to catch some great movies streaming to our devices.

Here are the Netflix movies that will expire on January 1st:

  • 1492 Conquest Of Paradise
  • As Good As It Gets
  • Back To School
  • The Bad News Bears
  • Being John Malkovich
  • Born On the Fourth Of July
  • Braveheart
  • Can’t Hardly Wait
  • Capote
  • Desperado
  • Do The Right Thing
  • Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind
  • Flashdance
  • For The Love Of The Game
  • The Great Train Robbery
  • In The Name Of The Father
  • Man On The Moon
  • The Mask Of Zorro
  • Mystery Men
  • October Sky
  • Platoon
  • Quigley Down Under
  • Requiem For A Dream
  • Rob Roy
  • Roman Holiday
  • Romeo And Juliet (1968)
  • Ronin
  • The Secret Of Nimh
  • Species
  • Titanic

Not only is Netflix losing the streaming rights to movies, but the streaming rights to 5 TV series are on the chopping block as well. Here is your last chance to marathon watch these TV shows:

  • Dark Shadows (1960s)
  • Saturday Night Live: The 2000s
  • Mr Bean
  • The Kids In The Hall
  • Perfect 10 Model Boxing (Volume 1)

You’ve got until Wednesday to catch all these movies and TV shows before they drop from the streaming library. The good news is you’ll still be able catch them on the Netflix DVD service.
