Pharrell’s “Happy” Song Gets A Sad Twist

What happens when you change the tempo of a song, but keep the same lyrics? Can you make “Happy” sound sad? A group from Brooklyn called The Gregory Brothers put it to the test. They also experimented with Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse”, Imagine Dragons’ “Radioactive”, John Legend’s “All of Me” and others. It’s pretty interesting to see what a difference the arrangement of music makes. I wonder what would happen if they tried to remake Sheryl Crow’s song “If It Makes You Happy” (then why the heck are you so sad)?
